Dear Lake Residents:
I would like to thank Pat Betcher (6 years) and Pam Reid (4 years) for their service on the Barnes Lake Improvement Board. As you know, they did double duty; Pam also is president and Pat vice president on the Barnes Lake Club Board. I don’t understand how they covered activities on both boards. Most retirees say “I can’t believe that I did all that” as most people experience post work life that is “busier than before”.
I also welcome Karen Codrea and Daren Collins to the Lake Board. They too are retirees and both live on Lakeshore Drive with great views of the lake. They both stepped up to serve. Here is the composition of your 2024 Lake Improvement Board Members:
Tom Kohlman – Chairman, Lapeer County Board of Commissioners
Joe Suma – Lapeer County Drain Commissioner
Karen Codrea – Lake Front Property Representative (board secretary)
Daren Collins – Barnes Lake Club Representative
Burns Rolland – Township Representative & Chairman, Barnes Lake Improvement Board
We all are striving to take care of Barnes Lake and maintain/improve its recreational value! Enjoy what remains of our short summer.
