It was a great turnout for the Bike & Golf Cart Parade!!
We started out with a few bikers and 63 golf carts at the beach parking lot. Bikes, golf carts and individuals were decked out for the festivities. As we went around the lake, more kids (and adults) joined in for a total of 32 bikers. The kids were awesome pedaling around the lake!!
Special thanks to all our volunteers who helped make the parade a success. “Ozzie” Osborne & Mark Darbe helped block vehicles entering the beach parking lot while we gathered before the parade started.
We had 2 stops along the way at Kim & Chris McClain’s house and the 2nd stop at Carolyn & Mark Costello’s house. They provided all the refreshments.
Our own Barnes Lake Ryan Tedesco drove the fire truck along with his crew leading the parade. Also Deputy Dan Hinsberger and other police officers blocked traffic on Barnes Lake Road and made it safe for us to travel on the road.
And to our judges, Kim Tedesco and Jodi Tluczek, for judging the kid’s decorated bikes.
Thank you all for your help!!! And thank you to everyone who participated in our Barnes Lake parade.
We had a great turnout for this year’s Bike and Golf Cart Parade! The parade started at the parking lot at the beach. At Noon we took off to go around the lake. We had 30 bikers (there were adults, too) and 40+ golf carts.
There were 2 refreshments stops along the way – 1st at Hank & Nancy Garner’s house and 2nd at Mark and Kerry Ludwig’s house. We ended back at the beach to award the kids for best decorated bikes.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the parade a success!!! Your efforts are so greatly appreciated!!
