Minutes of the Last Meeting: Derek Morey made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting and was seconded by Brian Menard, all said “Aye”, motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Cece Stramsak presented. Brian Menard made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and was seconded by Derek Morey and Teresa Rolland, all said “Aye”, motion carried.
Regarding the beach area, it will be closed as of 10/15/2022 and the buoys will be removed on 10/31/2022 by Alex Nikora. There may be an issue stocking fish in the Spring.
Regarding Park Lot K, the fence was erected and this was paid for by area community members.
There are 61 watercraft registered for 2023.
Park Lot E and the dead trees thereon was once again discussed and it was agreed that they should come down before Winter.
Park Lot G – Still experiencing the same issues with kids throwing the large stones into the water. Prevention measures were discussed.
The erosion of Park Lot P persists and has not yet been corrected.
The Boy Scouts reported, via Teresa Rolland, that the 1st camp at Morey Outpost was a great weekend. 4 Webelos joined, 4 Sunday night meetings have been held, one scout graduated to Eagle Scout and they’ve planned for a Tawas Point camp later this year.
Burns Rolland discussed the Barnes Lake Improvement Board topics: May stay with Clark for the lake spraying, Oliver’s land was leveled and the lot with the spoils from the dredging was as well. The ruts on G lot need to be restored. Pam added that she is still trying to get answers from the Road Commission regarding their near-future plans for the roads around the lake.
