The 2024 Halloween party was different, to say the least! It was our first year without the hayride to-and-from the clubhouse party, and SURPRISE, we had a power outage that effected the entire Barnes Lake community. But on a very positive note, we had perfect weather!
Overall, we had an excellent turnout! There were many cute costumes and happy kids. The adults had a fun time just catching up with neighbors and doing crafts. Even after the power went out, everyone stayed doing crafts with flashlights and visited outside. It was SPOOKY! We had approximately 50 kids and many adults attend. There was cider, donuts, cookies, new games, a pumpkin patch, and new crafts for all ages! Thank you to all who donated candy to fill our treat bags!
The Barnes Lake Club had a small group of volunteers this year, Cece Stramsak, Katie Incarnati, and Sandy Herweyer. I cannot thank these three enough! We worked as a team to create a terrific Halloween event. Sending a special thanks to Sandy who helped me clean up on Sunday; due to the power outage we could not clean until then.
Looking forward to our next Barnes Lake Club activity!
Respectfully Yours~ Pam Reid President, Barnes Lake Club
